BadgerNet Neonatal

by System C

A full EPR specially designed for all Neonatal Units

A Comprehensive Neonatal EPR

Our BadgerNet neonatal products are present in 99% of neonatal units across the UK. We offer two key products: the Neonatal Clinical Summary and the full Neonatal Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

The BadgerNet Neonatal Clinical Summary provides an electronic overview of the care given during a baby's stay, with features such as Baby Diary and the 'One Baby, One View' record.

The BadgerNet Neonatal EPR offers a fully paperless system for real-time event recording across various neonatal environments, including hospitals, communities, and transport. It creates a comprehensive record with features such as interfaces, charting, and care plans, eliminating the need for other documentation. Customers can also opt into the 'One Baby, One View' record, ensuring clinicians can access the full comprehensive record and, if they are also EPR customers, continue documenting all events contemporaneously.

Key Features:

  • Interfacing and charting, providing all information in one system
  • Clinical care plans and task lists to support clinicians in their day-to-day lives
  • Integrating Scoring specific for neonatal and paediatric care
  • Documenting at bedside improving patient and staff experience
  • Supporting parents throughout their child's stay

Designed Specifically for Neonatal Units

BadgerNet Neonatal EPR is designed for neonatal care and is developed through quarterly roadmaps based on UK best practices, guidelines, and clinical feedback, complying with the British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) toolkit. In contrast, general hospital EPRs often lack the specific features needed for neonatal care, requiring further development and additional costs.

Sharing Critical Clinical Information

Both Neonatal EPR and Clinical Summary facilitates the sharing of the digital record between neonatal units through the ‘One Baby, One View’ record. This ensures no delays or missing clinical information, enhancing patient safety and saving time. Hospitals with BadgerNet Clinical Summary can view the EPR record and add their summary data. Neonatal EPR sites are able document all care within the same record contemporaneously, continuing the record, reducing paper, saving time and improving clinical safety.

Improving the day to day lives of clinicians

BadgerNet Neonatal EPR provides tasks, care plans and configurable checklists to enhance communication, patient safety and save clinicians time. These checklists standardise processes like admissions and discharge, streamlining care. Clinicians can generate nursing and medical tasks for each patient, enhancing communication among healthcare professionals.
