BI Reporting - AOVPN Reporting

The Power BI Dashboard for AOVPN Reporting has been designed to centralise the Reporting Information found in the Remote Access Console for all AOVPN Servers in a more accessible fashion than the native Console access allows. Additionally, it extends and enriches the existing Datasets found in Remote Access with Current Configurational and Performance data for the VPN Servers being monitored.

There are two distinct Datasets retrieved and published within Azure

RRAS Data Tables

• As per the existing Remote Access Reporting data extended with DNS Resolution of Endpoints and Server Information.

Performance and Configurational Data

• Gathered from WMI and Registry settings from the AOVPN RRAS Server.

The Report has been split into a number of Sections:

Summary

• Stripped down VPN Configuration and Health Status.
• Client Usage Overview
• Subscription Information
• Key KPIs for current usage

Server Overview

• Full Health and Operational Status of the RRAS Services on the AOVPN Servers
• SSL Health Status. Available Connections and Data flow per Server
• Server Configurational Data such as Hard Disk, CPU, Memory Usage
• Key KPIs on the Totals of Current Connection Loads

VPN Server Configuration

• NPS Accounting and Authentication per AOVPN Server
• IP Pool Configuration
• Detailed Certificate Information (IKEv2 Only at the time of writing)
• Detailed Server Information

Server Performance

• Graphical Representation of the Key Performance Metrics (CPU/Memory/Disk).

Connection History

• Graphical Representation of the Concurrent Connection statistics per Server.

Client Distribution

• Graphical Summaries of the Concurrent Connections, Client Data Usage, Tunnel Types, and Client Connections per Endpoint

Connection Detail

• Detailed information on client connections.

Data Flow

• Graphical representation of the Data usage per Server and Summarized totals.
