Video Pro by CloudScope works using video information supplied by your report's dataset. You can also add tooltips for additional context.

You can set options to enhance the video presentation, including whether to display user controls, allow auto-play, support looping and more.

Formats supported

Video supports all of the popular video formats, including mp4, mov, webm and ogg. Because of Power BI security restrictions, Video doesn't work with commercial video platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.

It's important to understand that as a certified visual, Video Pro can't access external resources like video files using a URL. You must embed all of the data used to display a video within your report's dataset. Because of this restriction, the maximum size of the videos supported by Video Pro is relatively small - about 1.6mb. If you want to display larger videos, try the uncertified version - Video by CloudScope.

Licensing

Video Pro by CloudScope requires a license. For smaller organizations or teams, you can choose an inexpensive per-user option in the AppSource store. For larger user communities or for environments that are not supported by AppSource licensing, contact CloudScope.

Please note that the AppSource license does not support "Publish to Web" or "Embedded" scenarios. To enable Video Pro to work in unsupported environments, contact CloudScope directly for a license.
