IntraQuick Index

The IntraQuick® Index SharePoint add-in is designed to show list content in both an A-Z format and by Categories. As well as presenting your data, you can configure the add-in to work with either the provided content data list or your own specified list and data, selecting the appropriate fields to use in the configuration screen.

With optional fields used for embargo and expiry dates, filtered users and defined search fields, the add-in allows the content to be presented in a structured and controllable way. It has a wide variety uses, the standard list created by the add-in is ideal for your company’s policies and procedures but it can be used on any appropriate list ranging from contacts and companies in your CRM through to premises management.

The following functions are available in the configuration screen;

Page Title – This is used to apply a title to the top of the Index page

Page Logo URL – The logo in the top left of the page can be changed

Site/List/View – The options are either the IntraQuick Index (the add-in site) or the Host Site. The available Lists in the selected Site are populated in the dropdown box and then subsequently the available Views are populated.

Index Field – This is the field which is displayed on the Index page. This could be the Title or another field including a calculated field joining multiple data together. For example, if the index was displaying an employee list, the field shown could be a combination of the employee name, job description and location.

Tooltip Field –This selects the field to display as the tooltip when you hover over an item in the index. It could be a calculated field or summary field providing the user with more detail before clicking on the item.

Category Field – This field specifies the categories field to optionally display your data by. For example, if you were showing a customer list, you may want to display a region or territory they are associated with. The Index page uses the field name as the title and only supports Choice and Lookup fields. If no field is selected, the Index screen removes the option to toggle between AZ and Categories.

Filtered Users Field – You can filter the data that is displayed for specific users by entering user or group names in this field for each item in the list. Only User fields are valid. This is not restricting user access through security permissions, just filtering the view of data on screen.

Search Fields – Specify multiple fields that the Index page search box will reference during searches. This allows for very tailored and specific searches to be performed. You can create addition fields for words or terms to be entered that users may search on but are not in the core content to be displayed. For example, you may have a policy guide on listening to the radio at work, but employees may search on terms like mp3, player or specific streaming service names. These can be added in an additional field which is referenced but not visible to the user (unless you select it in the Detail View).

Detail View – This selects the view which is used on the detail page. The fields are shown on the page in the order of the view.

Add Numeric Index - Selecting Yes will add a numeric (0-9) index in addition to the alphabetic index, this would be required if you were showing Company names that began with numbers.

Maximum Detail Width – By default, the supplied detail page will show content using the full width of the users display. As screens resolutions become increasingly larger, in some cases it is useful to limit the width of the displayed information to make reading long text similar to that of printed documents. The maximum width for the detail page can be set in increments of 50px.
