Managing pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) natively is a challenge for a number or reasons.
Pipelines can only be scheduled with a regular recurrence e.g. run every 24h or every 7 days. Also having a large number of pipelines makes it increasingly more difficult to manage the run status or to find a specific pipeline easily.
Accessing Data factory requires full access to the Azure Portal and granular RBAC (role-based access control) roles to manage access tightly to lock down access sufficiently for a user to manage just pipelines. Something only very few organisations do, which increases the security risk.
