Microsoft 365 Assessment: 10 weeks

Following outcomes are provided within the Microsoft 365 Assessment jointly:

• Identification and documentation of the initial situation
• Documentation and summary of requirements
• Comprehensive concept with solution design
• Migration path
• Project plan
• Cost estimation (CAPEX/OPEX)
• Risk identification

The Assessment can be understood as a comprehensive concept with a high-level solution design for a possible transition to the cloud. It provides a basis for decision makers (Management Board, IT decision makers and IT responsibilities), whether the Microsoft 365 based cloud solution should be implemented. Furthermore, dependencies and sub-projects are identified.

The Microsoft 365 Assessment is structured based on three milestones:

• Discovery phase: During the first phase of the assessment, the customer is strongly involved. Jointly with the customer, UMB is gathering information. Priorities and Microsoft 365 Services in scope are defined based on a discovery questionnaire.
• On site Workshop: Execution of high-level workload discovery with Senior Solution Engineer and a Senior Solution Consultant.
• High-level Microsoft 365 transformation concept: Within the last phase of the project, UMB elaborates an individual solution design, roadmap and cost estimation based on the discovered needs and requirements of the customer.

The assessment takes four weeks from start to finish and includes a number of different workshops.
