Service Overview

The PathFusion Power Platform Discovery is a short consultancy engagement designed to understand the challenges of your business and build a path to successfully adopting Power Platform in your organisation.

This begins with a problem or use case that is impacting your business, and we will consult collaboratively to envisage how Power Platform can address this challenge, leveraging our proven rapid time to value deliver model and T-shape Consultants. to demonstrate the capability.

The final artefact you will be provided with is a Solutioning Pack that will include a roadmap to successfully implement Power Apps with all the considerations that need to be addressed to ensure successful establishment of the service.

Discovery Kick-off

The Discovery Kick-off session marks the start of our collaborative journey. In this session, we outline the overall approach, key milestones, and expectations for the engagement—ensuring alignment on goals, roles, and success measures. It’s also an opportunity for both teams to get to know each other, establish ways of working, and co-create a shared vision of what a successful outcome looks like. By setting a clear foundation from the outset, we ensure a transparent, structured, and engaging journey that delivers meaningful value to your business.

 

Discovery Process Workshop

A key part to frame the current understanding also future solution is a process workshop where we get the key stakeholders in a room (preferably) or virtually to map out the process. We can either reference a current process map, collaboratively draw on a whiteboard, or run through the process in a swim-lane/flow diagram. Often, we find that not everyone is aligned on what the current process is, or what the future process could be, so this is foundational workshop to promote alignment and understanding between stakeholders an also build out the high-level process to decide where to focus time and energy on automation, process reengineering, application development.

Iterative Discovery: Development of a Discovery Solutioning Pack

The objective of the PathFusion Power Platform Discovery phase is to provide you with a clarified understand of the problem and proposed solution, approach and way forward.

Through additional 1:1 sessions, small workshop sessions and playback sessions with the allocated timebox, we iteratively develop with you a discovery solutioning pack, a artifact, balances the right amount of upfront analysis and design, with crafting a future state solution and approach, whilst leaving room to pivot.

The Discovery Solutioning Pack covers:

  • Problem Statement & Challenges
    • Analysis is completed to determine the core problem that you are trying to address. This is important as it articulates the gap between the current and the future state
    • The challenges will detail pain points or barriers to change or improvement, from the viewpoint of the end users. This will help us contextualise the complexity and urgency of the problem and support the solution business case
  • Impact and Value Proposition
    • We articulate how the solution addresses key pain points, improves processes, and delivers measurable impact—whether through efficiency gains, cost reduction, risk mitigation, or enhanced user experience. This defines a compelling value proposition that demonstrates both immediate and long-term business outcomes
  • Personas
    • This to understand the unique perspective of users and other key stakeholders, so that the solution developed addresses their problems and we consider the user workflow and experience when developing the solution
  • Solution Dimensions
    • A solution dimension is a structured aspect of the solution each representing a viewpoint of the solution’s design and delivery, helping ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business goals
  • High Level Process Map
    • A high-level map of the current processes provides context for the solution proposed but also focuses efforts to that which will bring the highest business value
  • Product Vision
    • Articulates the long-term vision for a solution
    • Provides context for a timeboxed solution like a PoC or MVP
    • Valuable for stakeholders to playback to sponsors to show how it fits into the larger organisation context, when assessing the business case for the solution
  • Product Concept
    • This is the initial solution concept or MVP
  • Roadmap and Approach
    • Create a roadmap for the product that adequately takes into account considerations such as complexity, integration, and feedback
