Migration to Azure (Hyper-V to Azure VM)

Azure Migrate enables you to move physical servers to Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) by providing a centralized platform for discovery, assessment, and migration. It simplifies the transition from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.​

Azure Migrate is a Microsoft service that helps you plan and execute the migration of on-premises workloads—including physical servers, VMware, Hyper-V, and even other cloud VMs—to Azure. It offers tools for discovery, assessment, and migration, all within a unified portal.​

Pre-requisites execution: ​

• Deploy or validate Landing Zone (portal accelerator)​
• Install pre-requisite tools and scripts, execute assessments as needed​
• Allocate Point of Contact ​

Project planning and execution: ​

• Create & approve project scope and plan (Include HLD)​
• Execute network/infrastructure services needed for project​
• Execute any services outside Factory scope (Cloud)​

Conduct validation testing and prep for project execution​

• Execute project sprints/waves​
• Plan and prep for next phase of project (repeat steps above)​

Post-project execution :​

• Execute post-migration services if applicable (consolidation, clean-up, etc.)​
• Hydrate and create quality controls for post-project execution​
• Deliverables Documentation such as Technical Documentation (Implementation and UAT)​
