KPI Matrix

KPI Matrix is a versatile and dynamic KPI card visual that uniquely combines KPI cards with the possibilities of a matrix layout. This allows you to visualize the relationship between two dimensions in a way that no other visual can.

With KPI Matrix, you can effortlessly create and design multiple KPI cards in a row, column or matrix layout. The matrix layout is particularly powerful, enabling you to put your KPI in the context of two dimensions in order to visualize the relationship between these dimensions.

Each card in the matrix displays a measure and optionally a target value or another measure for comparison, along with an indicator to visualize the difference between the two measures. Choose from three indicator types: arrow/triangle, text color, or background color. Enhance each card’s informative value with two mini chart styles that show current or historical trends of actual and target values, as well as their differences. The drill function allows you to adjust the mini chart’s level of detail.

The background color of each card can also serve as an actual/target indicator, and with conditional coloring, you can transform the entire matrix into a heatmap. All cards, including those in the row or column headers, allowing for data point selection to filter or highlight data on the report page. You can even hide row and column headers and place their content directly on the cards, making them look like individual KPI cards while remaining selectable.
