Overview
Many organizations prove AI in prototypes, but fail in production, not because the model is weak, but because orchestration engineering is missing. What is NextantCortex?
NextantCortex is Nextant’s methodological and architectural engineering framework to design, build, and operate enterprise autonomous agents on Microsoft Azure. It is not a SaaS product or an extra license; it is the engineering foundation that turns AI from an experiment into predictable infrastructure: governed, auditable, and financially sustainable. A core principle is strict separation between an immutable execution engine and declarative business rules versioned in YAML, so new business processes can be added through configuration, not by rewriting the orchestrator.

What we implement (Implementation engagement)
We implement the NextantCortex secure operational AI infrastructure layer using a Supervisor-Worker orchestration pattern, enabling governed execution for real enterprise workflows. The implementation is deployed in the customer’s Azure environment and is designed for enterprise-grade governance, auditability, and scalable operations.

• Asynchronous execution for long-running processes (avoids production timeouts) using queue-based patterns.
• Human approval gates for destructive/high-risk actions using durable workflow pauses and approvals.
• Integration standardization using MCP (Model Context Protocol) to decouple agents from custom one-off integrations.
• Evaluation-driven quality gates (EDD) so agents are tested before production and deployments can be blocked if quality thresholds are not met.
