Azure Migration Readiness Assessment
iNBest
Most organizations know they need to migrate to Azure — but few understand exactly where to start, which workloads to prioritize, what risks to manage before moving, or how much the transition will realistically cost. Starting implementation without a clear plan leads to delays, cost overruns, unexpected downtime, and technical debt that compounds over time.
The Azure Migration Readiness Assessment by iNBest helps organizations evaluate their current environment in depth and build a concrete, risk-managed migration plan before committing to implementation. iNBest assesses your infrastructure, applications, databases, network, identity, security, compliance requirements, and operational model — and delivers a structured, prioritized roadmap for migrating to Azure.
During the engagement, the iNBest team discovers and classifies your workloads by migration complexity, maps technical dependencies, evaluates compatibility with target Azure services, designs a landing zone architecture, estimates Azure consumption, and defines a migration wave plan organized by phase, risk, and business priority.
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
- Kickoff workshop with technical and business stakeholders to align objectives, constraints, and success criteria
- Workload inventory and classification: servers, applications, databases, operating systems, storage volumes, and compute usage
- Technical dependency mapping and compatibility analysis against target Azure services
- Migration path evaluation for each workload: rehost, replatform, refactor, repurchase, retire, or retain
- Landing zone architecture review: networking, identity, resource organization, governance, and security baseline
- Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory connectivity evaluation
- Security and compliance posture review: access controls, encryption requirements, regulatory constraints, and data residency considerations
- Azure consumption sizing and cost estimation — monthly and annual — for all workloads in scope
- Identification of applicable cost optimization mechanisms such as Azure Hybrid Benefit and reserved instances where relevant
- Risk register documenting technical, operational, and business migration risks with recommended mitigations
- Migration wave plan organized by priority, interdependency, and estimated effort
- Executive summary with key findings, business case elements, and implementation recommendation
- Next-step proposal for the implementation engagement
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
This assessment does not include migration execution, landing zone deployment, infrastructure provisioning, data replication, failover testing, or any configuration changes in production or non-production environments. Implementation services are available as a separate engagement with iNBest following assessment completion.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
This assessment is designed for CIOs, IT managers, infrastructure directors, cloud architects, and operations leaders in mid-market and enterprise organizations planning to migrate workloads from on-premises data centers, traditional hosting, or legacy environments to Azure. It is also relevant for organizations currently running workloads on other cloud platforms evaluating Azure as a destination, or for organizations already partially on Azure without a structured landing zone or migration plan in place.
ASSESSMENT COVERAGE FOR QUALIFIED PROJECTS:
iNBest may provide partial or full coverage of the assessment cost — up to 100% — based on project size, technical scope, estimated consumption, and commercial evaluation. This coverage is provided directly by iNBest. It is not a Microsoft program credit, guaranteed discount, or funding commitment. Final coverage percentage, scope, and commercial terms are confirmed through a private proposal following eligibility validation. Contact us to validate whether your project qualifies.
Assessment coverage applies exclusively to the agreed assessment scope. It does not include Azure consumption, software licensing, implementation services, managed services, ongoing support, or any third-party costs unless explicitly stated in the written proposal.
