The NWS app ensures comprehensive tracking and documentation for hazardous waste management.
Product description
The Navtilus Waste Solution (NWS) is an app to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) for use by Danish receiving stations and others that handle environmentally hazardous waste.
The NWS app ensures full tracking and documentation in the form of e.g. declaration documents with the European Waste Codes (EWC codes) and the Danish E and H codes, transport documents, loading lists, etc. from the hazardous waste is collected from the customer, during transport, storage at the receiving station and for dispatch to the waste processor. The NWS app ensures the statutory register for hazardous waste.
With the NWS app, manual filling in of accompanying documents is avoided, and provides an electronic option for the transfer of data, so that double entry is avoided and incorrect entry is minimized.
Special requirements for sorting, labeling and packaging of hazardous waste are also an integral part of the NWS app, so that all information is gathered in one place and mishandling with the risk of environmental consequences or fines is avoided.
The documentation in the NWS app provides the basis for the statutory reports to the public waste data system. In addition, the NWS app provides a full overview of which hazardous waste is on site and how the environmental impact can be limited if an accident occurs.
Module description
The NWS app is module based and you pay license for the module you need.
With the NWS basic module, you can prepare declarations of hazardous waste for collection, forwarding and treatment. You can prepare the legally required transport documents so that the legislation for the transport of hazardous waste is complied with. In addition, you can easily report to Waste Statistics without having to go through old documents and enter them manually.
Depending on needs and wishes, additional modules can be purchased for handling and managing agreements for periodic collection of waste, rental and overview of rental equipment, use of handheld terminals for greater security and tracking of collected/received waste and packaging, application of weather-resistant labels, preparation of work sheets for emptying tasks with registration of performed services with who/what, when, signature and GPS for execution location, Mobile registration of task execution and documentation of the execution with image and GPS coordinate, for increased flexibility and reduction of manual errors, tablet solution targeted at drivers with registration of contracts with photo and GPS, photo documentation and -GPS on the control order, electronic signature of the control order. If you need the exchange of electronic documents in OIO or OIOUBL format, this can be purchased separately. If customers, municipalities and other publish authorities should place their order themselves, follow up on order status and see waste statistics adding a portal is a possibility.
Background
The Danish Environmental Protection Agency's executive orders contain guidelines for the storage, transport and destruction of hazardous waste.
Hazardous waste is all types of waste which are harmful to people and the environment and which therefore cannot be handled as ordinary residual waste. Examples of this include batteries, oil, chemicals, poison, solvents, mercury, lighters, acid, cylinders, gas cylinders, fire extinguishers, paint, spray cans and medicine.
All companies have a duty to deliver and report all hazardous waste for proper waste treatment and must be able to document that the hazardous waste has been delivered and treated. The company must contact and enter into an agreement with a transporter, a collection company or a reception station registered in the waste register regarding the transport and treatment of the hazardous waste. The hazardous waste must be packaged, marked and stored in such a way that there is no risk of contamination of surface water, soil and groundwater.
The NWS solution has been specially developed for the receiving stations. As a receiving station, you are obliged to report: Type of waste, amount of waste, source (waste producer), form of treatment and place of delivery and final treatment.
