GitHub Migration

Leverage Azure Accelerate for a funded, best-practice migration approach. This 3 phase engagement, starts with a detailed assessment, an actionable prescriptive plan to migrate repositories and pipelines, a funded adoption SoW and roadmap, and customer’s choice of GitHub training or enablement. Phases 2 & 3 perform the migration or landing zone creation for ongoing, iterative internal migration by your team.

During your GitHub Migration, Coveros experts will:

• Document the migration process and key considerations.
• Trim version control history.
• Review source version control system (VCS) to GitHub migration utilities.
• Execute VCS to GitHub history migration dry runs.
• Perform dry runs of CI/CD pipeline updates.
• Execute the production migrations.
• Update and validate production CI/CD pipelines. Coveros will test pipelines and make pipeline configuration updates.

Additional Optional Activities

• Assess and document CI/CD pipeline dependencies.
• Plan CI/CD pipeline updates for GitHub compatibility.
• Develop repeatable playbooks.
• Train and support team members on new GitHub workflows.
• Conduct post-migration review and feedback sessions.
• Provide ongoing support during rollout.
• Assist with decommissioning of the old VCS (if applicable).
• Make updates to application code.
