Azure AI Foundation Architecture (ATO Component 2)
These offers are the modular components of the Microsoft AI Transformation Offer (ATO) a structured, end-to-end approach to moving from AI ideas to production at scale. Each component is designed to stand on its own (so you can start where you are), or to be combined into a single, sequenced program: (1) Strategy & governance → (2) Technical foundation → (3) Industrialised delivery and operations. CGI can deliver any one component independently, or orchestrate all three as a comprehensive transformation.
Typical outcomes
- A ready-to-use Azure environment for AI with consistent controls and guardrails
- Reduced friction for AI teams through reusable patterns and standardised foundations
- Improved compliance posture and operational readiness for production deployments
- A scalable architecture that supports both current use cases and long‑term AI growth
What this component delivers
Component 2 builds the technical foundations required for scalable and secure AI adoption. CGI designs and implements an Azure AI Landing Zone and the enterprise baselines needed to run production-grade AI workloads, including:
- Azure AI Landing Zone architecture aligned to your organisation’s cloud strategy
- Governance, identity, networking and security baselines
- Generative AI architecture building blocks and reference patterns for repeatable delivery
- Infrastructure and application landing-zone implementation to host AI workloads safely and efficiently
Why choose CGI
- Microsoft-aligned delivery: Collaboration with Microsoft specialists and accelerators to support customer success. Eligible engagements may receive Microsoft funding.
- Secure-by-default Time to Value: Landing zones and baselines designed for enterprise-grade security, identity and network controls.
- Accelerated implementation: Proven reference patterns reduce time to platform readiness and unblock delivery teams faster.
- Aligned with governance and compliance: Foundations support policy enforcement, responsible AI requirements, auditability and safe AI operations.
How it connects to the other ATO components
Use Component 2 when you have (or are developing) a use-case pipeline and need a secure platform to deliver on it. It is most effective when:
- Preceded by Component 1 to align the landing zone to business priorities, governance and responsible AI requirements
- Followed by Component 3 to establish a Generative AI Factory and GenAIOps model for repeatable delivery and operations
