Engagement Phases:

Week 1: Discovery & Architectural Preparation

• Environment Assessment
• Inventory of physical and/or virtual servers
• Capture server specifications, operating systems, installed services, and patches
• BCDR Architecture Planning
• Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup requirements for Hyper-V or VMware or Azure
• Azure storage, VNET, and Landing Zone readiness review

Documentation

• As-is server documentation
• Identification of compatible systems for Azure Backup and Site Recovery
• Project plan and architecture document tailored to customer environment

Week 2: Implementation & Knowledge Transfer

ASR & Azure Backup Configuration

• Set up Azure Site Recovery for up to 10 VMs (max 1TB total data)
• Create up to 2 simple recovery plans (no automation workflows)
• Configure Azure Backup for 2 sample systems (max 100GB total)
• Provision required Azure storage and VNETs

Failover Testing

• Execute test failover (offline) and validate recovery plan
• Troubleshoot and adjust configurations if needed

Knowledge Transfer & Handoff

• Train administrators on managing ASR and Backup
• Deliver detailed implementation documentation and runbooks

Deliverables:

• Full server inventory & configuration documentation
• Customized BCDR architecture diagram
• Deployed replication tools and tested the recovery setup
• As-built documentation and knowledge transfer session
