Microsoft Fabric for AI and Analytics: Assess, Prove & Scale - 8-Wk Engagement

Acuity Analytics

This engagement gives you an evidence-based answer to the question every data leader is being asked: is Microsoft Fabric the right unified data and AI platform for us, and what does it take to run it well? In eight weeks, Acuity Analytics takes you from a structured assessment of your analytics estate to a working Fabric Proof of Concept deployed on your data, with a clearly defined path to production.

The journey: Assess, Prove, Scale.

Phase 1 - Assessment (2 weeks). Data maturity assessment (sources, consumption, existing tooling); stakeholder interviews; technical principles workshop covering capacity, regions, workspace and domain design, Microsoft Purview governance; PoC workload selection. Deliverables: findings report, target Fabric reference architecture, prioritised PoC workload, costed PoC plan with success criteria, Fabric adoption roadmap including licensing and capacity recommendations.

Phase 2 - Proof of Concept (6-8 weeks). Fabric capacity and workspace setup; OneLake shortcuts to bring in data without duplication; ingestion via Data Factory; Lakehouse or Warehouse build; representative transformation, semantic model, Microsoft Power BI report, or Real-Time Intelligence scenario; Purview integration where in scope; weekly demos; final playback. Deliverables: working Fabric workspace deployed on your data, documented architecture, measured results, evidence pack, production roadmap.

Phase 3 - Delivery and Scale (quoted separately). Production Fabric build-out across the agreed domains; migration of in-scope workloads from legacy tooling; data product and medallion architecture rollout; Purview-backed governance at scale; CI/CD for Fabric items; enablement and operating model.

What you provide. Executive sponsor and a named business owner; access to 3-6 subject matter experts for interviews and workshops; representative (anonymised if needed) sample data and/or access to the target application or source systems in a non-production environment; existing architecture documentation where available; Azure subscription with a sandbox resource group for the PoC (Acuity Analytics can provision if preferred).

Prerequisites. Microsoft 365 tenant; willingness to provision a Fabric trial or F-SKU capacity for the PoC (Acuity Analytics can advise on sizing); executive sponsor and a named data owner.

Microsoft funding. Eligible for consideration under applicable Microsoft partner-funding programs (Azure Innovate, Azure Migrate and Modernize, AI Partner funding, Microsoft Fabric PoC) for qualifying customers, subject to Microsoft approval. Acuity Analytics manages the funding nomination with your Microsoft account team.
