Power BI Pathway Training & Build: 4-Wk Workshop

Agenda

Day 1 - Power BI Supercharged Training (1-Day, Instructor-led, using sample data)
Day 2 - Reporting Workshop (1-Day, Instructor-led, using team-specific data) spent creating pre-agreed reports using own data
Day 3 (4 weeks later) - Check-in to the Reporting Workshop (1-Day) after the team has created reports using own data

Day 1 - Power BI Supercharged Training

Agenda/Topics
We will:

• extract, transform, model and visualize data
• build a set of Reports and a Dashboard
• share and collaborate in the Power BI service

Deliverables
We will deliver (at a minimum):

• 1 Power BI report file published to the Service and 1 Power BI dashboard

Day 2 - Reporting Workshop

The reporting workshop is a 1-day, hands-on workshop immediately following the Supercharged training, spent creating pre-agreed reports using own data

Agenda/Topics
The agenda will follow a similar pattern to the Supercharged training, referencing concepts covered in on Day 1

Deliverables
We will deliver (at a minimum):

• 1 Power BI report - 2 pages (using the standardized WS template)
• 4-5 visuals per page
• Slicers/Filters as required

Day 3 - Check-In(s)

1 Follow up check-in to the Reporting Workshop after the team has created reports in 4 weeks using own data. We will:

Agenda

• Team to compile and share current reports and all issues faced beforehand with Walkerscott
• 1/2 Day (pre-check-in) - Walkerscott to review the data model and reports, and compile feedback and suggestions towards optimizing and enhancing the reports
• 1/2 Day (check-in) - Walkerscott to do a half-day workshop to review feedback suggested, the rationale behind these and edit reports to incorporate changes

Deliverables

• Document with a review of the data model and reports and tangible next steps towards optimizing and enhancing the reports
• Edited data model and Power BI reports incorporating some or all of the feedback
