College Dashboarding: 2-Day Proof of Concept

This offer gives you an opportunity to see your data in action within Power BI.

Info Asset Management will set up an organisation Power BI account with your sample data; using an existing table or view used in a specific information area so you can see how the system will work for you.

Agenda

Day 1 – Setting up your environment and data

• Creating your Power BI account
• Configuring your environment including data sources and necessary security options
• Importing necessary tables or views
• Creating relationships between tables
• Creating calculated fields and measures using DAX or SQL

Day 2 - Creating reports & dashboards

• Creating report or dashboard visuals to reflect your KPI tracking
• Creating/uploading Power BI Desktop files to app workspace to enable collaboration
• Create dashboards
• Configure scheduled refresh via Power BI Data Gateway

Deliverables

• Provisioning of a free Power BI account using college email address
• Import of your identified data set e.g. enrollment view/table or application view/table
• Set up and configuration of a dashboard/report for the tracking of up to three KPIs.

The following implementation options are available:

• Power BI enterprise reporting environment setup (includes option of setting up a maximum of 6 KPIs): £3,500
• Power BI report development based on existing report or dashboard used in the organisation: £1,500

Pre-requisites:

• College must provide remote access to a machine with the latest version of Power BI Desktop installed and access to underlying data source
• Create table or views with identified KPIs to be used by the consultant
• Customer must have Data Gateway installed if scheduled refresh is required
