Gateways provide the flexibility you need to meet individual needs, as well as the needs of your organization.

Deliverables

Identify the location and type of your on-premises data sources (SQL Server, Analysis Services, Files, SharePoint, etc.)
Identify the optimal location for your on-premises installation of the Power BI Gateway.
Install the Power BI Gateway on-premises or provide support and guidance to your infrastructure department.
Setup and configure the gateway in Power BI service.
Configure the data sources in Power BI service, including configuring permissions for your Power BI service AAD user accounts.
If required, configure Power BI service AAD user account to on-premises AD account mapping for Analysis Server data sources (or provide support to your infrastructure department to set up automatic mapping in the Gateway).
Provide three (3) months limited upgrade support for the Gateway.
