The modern SharePoint Online experience gives organisations a simple and secure way to connect and engage employees through a central employee portal, as part of Microsoft 365. Project Overview
Day 1: Planning workshop - Workshop with key stakeholders to:
Map out the content/types of content you want to share
Map out content ownership and permissions requirements
Build an understanding of any associated business processes, such as content approval, review schedule, or lifecycle management
Talk through potential approaches to each requirement, including advantages, disadvantages, effort/cost, etc.
Days 2-5: Implementation - Build and configure sites – for example:
Create communication sites/hub sites/home sites.
Create modern JSON-based site themes to apply branding
Configure libraries/lists/content types/columns to manage files and information
Configure Power Automate-based reminders and custom formatting for policy management
Create site scripts and site designs to ensure consistent experiences across new sites
Configure global navigation and Teams integration through Viva Connections
Days 6-7: Content population - Populate a subset of your documents and example content to demonstrate good practice and optimal use of modern site capabilities. Day 8: Training preparation - Prepare demonstration sites and content for training workshops. Day 9: Training delivery - Deliver workshops or virtually to give key users hands-on experience of using modern SharePoint functionality. Day 10: Ad-hoc support - To resolve any issues and provide advice where required as you go live with the new environment.
