Teams Direct Route for Digital Workspace cost-effective solution by Brio which delivers unified calling experience through Microsoft Teams
Organizations are already using Microsoft Teams for video conferencing, file sharing, and chat. Microsoft Phone System Direct Routing is the service inside Microsoft Teams that allows organizations to connect external phone lines and use Microsoft Teams as an office phone system. Brio is extending Consulting and Deployment Services for the Customers named “Microsoft Teams Direct Route for Digital Workspace” which extends solutioning, effort estimation, scoping, implementation, and post-implementation training for the Customers. Microsoft certified Session Border Controller (SBC) required to connect Teams to a telecom provider. Microsoft Teams uses IP-based voice connections, commonly referred to as SIP Trunks to connect to the rest of the world. This fully managed service allows organizations to keep number ownership and maintain features and functionality while reaping the benefits of converging local and long-distance calling onto a single platform.

Pre-sales
• Environment assessment and requirement gathering. Assessment of current network infrastructure and services in customer calling environment. • Intimating customers on advantages of Microsoft Teams Direct Routing over legacy operator connect • Creation of project plan on using Microsoft Teams Direct Routing for calling (including/ excluding legacy infrastructure and services) with Solution design document with Commercials.
Project Deployment
• Sourcing and installation of supported Session Border Controller (SBC) • Provisioning of Microsoft 365 organization to home Teams users and SBC connect • Domain (other than default domain: .onmicrosoft.com) provision for SBC configuration • Public IP address and FQDN for SBC to connect to the internet. • Public trusted certificate for SBC • Provision of Microsoft E5 or E3 with phone system license • Ad hoc call escalation and Audio-Conferencing license • User onboarding in Microsoft Teams admin and provisioning unique SIP number • Testing on supported end-points- Any Teams client, Common area phones, Skype for Business 3PIP phones. • Admin and users training on Microsoft Teams and Direct routing usage.
Project sign-off • Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT). • Project sign-off upon completion of User Acceptance Test. Post deployment support • SBC configuration issues (Excluding additional configuration) • Microsoft Direct Routing configuration • Microsoft Teams Admin centre • Addition/ removal of users including SIP number change (All support services will be remote in nature. Customer to make provision for remote access of SBC & Microsoft Teams Admin Console) Support services to be purchased based on modules: I. Standard support- 8 x 5 remote support II. Standard plus- 8 x 6 remote support III. Premium support- 24 x 7 remote support IV. Premium plus - On-site based on Man-hours.
